WOOD WORK: a research project started with a lamp for "La liseuse - Prix Monica Danet" exhibition at galerie kreo.

The structure of the WOOD WORK lamp is made of large balsa wood beams. Balsa is used in general to make small-scale models. The idea of producing a very limited edition object this way is appealing.

The balsa is hardened with resin with the same technique used to make classic surfboards.

The result has a monumental scale associated with great lightness. It weights 3.5 kg.

The object is not self-explanatory, maybe some kind of prop for a Spaghetti Western movie set, or a carpentry assembly model.
